Bump Subscription Tutorial :: CF Pro Tools Features for ClickFunnels





How The Bump Subscription Works

ClickFunnels natively will not allow you to create a bump product and have it be a subscription.


Or vice versa, you cannot create a subscription product and notate it as a bump product on your order page.


CF Pro Tools does not have an add-on script for this, BUT, we do have a workaround using one of our existing add-on features, which is our Multiple Bumps add-on.



This tutorial guide will show you how to setup Multiple Bumps for the purpose of creating a BUMP SUBSCRIPTION on a ClickFunnels order page.



Description and Best Use Case For Multiple Bumps

Multiple Bumps allows you to do exactly that - set multiple bumps on a ClickFunnels order page when normally (natively) you are only allowed to do a single bump.



For the purpose of this tutorial and creating a bump product that is a subscription, you will use the Multiple Bumps add-on, but you don't have to utilize more than a single bump.



Just a side note, in a single transaction, ONLY ONE subscription can be transacted when using Stripe.   Do not create multiple bump subscriptions as they will not all be created.



You can start by simply creating your order bump in ClickFunnels.





OVERVIEW (For Advanced Users)


For those of you ready to jump in and are familiar with CFProTools, you can use this checklist:


  • Add Your Domain To CFProTools DOMAINS TAB

  • Create An Order Page

  • Insert ORDER SUMMARY ELEMENT (Or 2-Step Order Element)

  • Insert Multiple Bump Elements (as necessary)

  • Install ORDER SUMMARY Add-On

  • Create and Configure MULTIPLE BUMPS Add-on Script

  • Install Script to Footer Tracking Code Settings

  • NOTE:  You Cannot Transact More Than ONE Subscription At A Time



Step 1:   Add Your Domain To CFProTools DOMAINS TAB


Your first step will be to add your domain to the CFPT Domains Tab.

Step 2:  Create Your ORDER Page


You will need an ORDER TYPE page installed in your funnel on ClickFunnels in order for this add-on to work.


On your order type page, make sure you have a 2-Step Order Element or a 1-step customized order form page and add as many BUMP elements as you need.


If using a 2-step order element, make sure to HIDE the BUMP FORM from the advanced settings and create the actual bump elements OUTSIDE of the 2-step order element.

You'll need an Order Summary Element On Your Page In Order To See All Products and Total Amounts.



What makes this work-around work is that you are NOT setting your bumps up and notating them as BUMP products in the product tab.

So make sure to create your subscription product and snag the product ID from the URL in the products area to use in a later step, here.



Step 3:  Add ORDER SUMMARY Add-On


In order for this add-on to function correctly, you'll need the ORDER SUMMARY Add-on Installed.

Please ensure the ORDER SUMMARY add-on script is at the TOP of the list of add-ons installed as it should load before other cart altering add-ons.



Step 4:  Create Your Add-on Script


For most add-on installations of the MULTIPLE BUMPS script, you can simply click the CREATE NEW button:



Please note:  You can use this script over and over for other order pages without having to create a new and unique script.



... now do a keyword search for MULTIPLE BUMPS



Once you have located the MULTIPLE BUMPS script, click the thumbnail image and create the add-on per the installation instructions.



You will need to name your script.   We recommend a naming convention like this:

MB (Test Funnel) or
MULTIPLE BUMPS (Book Funnel)

It's best to name it with the name of the add-on AND in parentheses, make sure to name which funnel it belongs to so you can easily identify later.


Once you have completed this area, click the red button below to create your add-on script.




Step 4:  On-Page Configuration


For each of your BUMP elements, you'll need to go into the CSS TITLE settings and change the CSS TITLE to:


cf-multi-bump-xxxxxxxx, where the xxxxx's are the product ID of the bump you want to appear in the order summary when the bump is selected.





If using a 2-step order element, you'll need to hide the native bump area from showing up (you can do this in the Advanced Settings tab.   

You will need to create stand alone order bump elements on the OUTSIDE of the 2-step order element, and go through the above process with the CSS TITLE.

When you do this, the bumps will be pulled INTO the 2-Step Order Element.


Step 5:  Install Your Add-on Script


You can now copy your newly generated script out by clicking the blue button where your script is located.

The button says, "COPY CODE", this will copy the script to your virtual clipboard.


You are now ready to paste the script into your FOOTER TRACKING CODE AREA.


Click SETTINGS --> TRACKING CODE




Now click the FOOTER CODE TAB, and paste your code in:



Now SAVE your page, you are ready to preview and test your new add-on!



Known Conflicts:


The following add-ons do not work with MULTIPLE BUMPS.


  • No known conflicts with other add-ons

  • You cannot transact more than one subscription product, so do not set more than one up throughout this process or the transaction will fail.
