Promo Code Pro :: CF Pro Tools Add-On Features for ClickFunnels



Description and Best Use Case For This Add-On:

This is a more robust and feature rich version of our PROMO CODE add-on (the one that's free).... 


As an upgraded option from our FREE version of the PROMO CODE add-on, you can now create codes or numerous codes that will discount MULTIPLE products at once.

  

This will work with PayPal Plus, and you can create expiration dates on your codes. 


Even more awesome is that you can hide the input fields or show them when and where you would like as they are custom created. 


You can also add in additional parameters to the URL to automatically (upon link click) apply a discount code.   This is good for applying discounts directly from an email click. 


OVERVIEW (For Advanced Users)


For those of you ready to jump in and are familiar with CFProTools, you can use this checklist:


  • Add Your Domain To CFProTools DOMAINS TAB

  • Create An Order Page (with Order Form)

  • Add Input Field and Headline with following CSS TITLES:

  • Promo Code Headline:   cf-promo-headline

  • Promo Input Field:  cf-promo-input

  • Install ORDER SUMMARY Add-On

  • Create and Configure PROMO CODE PRO Add-on Script

  • Install Script to Footer Tracking Code Settings

  • Does NOT work with Cart Mode



Step 1:   Add Your Domain To CFProTools DOMAINS TAB


Your first step will be to add your domain to the CFPT Domains Tab.

Step 2:  Create Your ORDER Page


You will need an ORDER TYPE page installed in your funnel on ClickFunnels in order for this add-on to work.


On your order type page, make sure you have a 2-Step Order Element -- or -- a customized one-step order form.

Other add-ons may be necessary depending on how you are using this add-on.



Step 3:  Install Order Summary Add-on


Please install the ORDER SUMMARY add-on for Promo Code PRO to work correctly.

Please ensure the ORDER SUMMARY add-on script is at the TOP of the list of add-ons installed as it should load before other cart altering add-ons.



Step 4:  Create Your Add-on Script


For most add-on installations of the PROMO CODE PRO script, you can simply click the CREATE NEW button:



Please note:  You cannot use this script over and over for other order pages without having to create a new and unique script.



... now do a keyword search for PROMO CODE PRO


Once you have located the PROMO CODE PRO script, click the thumbnail image and create the add-on per the installation instructions.



You will need to name your script.   We recommend a naming convention like this:

PCP (Test Funnel) or
PROMO CODE PRO (Book Funnel)

It's best to name it with the name of the add-on AND in parentheses, make sure to name which funnel it belongs to so you can easily identify later.


Please configure the additional steps per the following directions:




Once you have completed this area, click the red button below to create your add-on script.



Step 5:  On-Page Configuration


You will need to MANUALLY CREATE a Headline field and an INPUT field in order for this add-on to work correctly.





Each element will have their own individual settings, please click the "#" icon to update the CSS TITLE for each element individually.


The Headline or Sub-Headline element will use this CSS TITLE:  cf-promo-headline


The input field will need a this CSS TITLE:   cf-promo-input


Ensure your input field settings are set similar to this:



You can set the CUSTOM TYPE to anything, but do not include spaces or special characters beyond the underscore.  


You can also set the PLACEHOLDER TEXT to read whatever you'd like.


If you choose to ALWAYS SHOW, you can leave the Headline and Input fields visibility on.


If you choose to NOT ALWAYS SHOW, you will want to HIDE the headline and input fields using the eyeball icon.



Step 6:  Install Your Add-on Script


You can now copy your newly generated script out by clicking the blue button where your script is located.

The button says, "COPY CODE", this will copy the script to your virtual clipboard.


You are now ready to paste the script into your FOOTER TRACKING CODE AREA.


Click SETTINGS --> TRACKING CODE




Now click the FOOTER CODE TAB, and paste your code in:



Now SAVE your page, you are ready to preview and test your new add-on!



Good To Know Information About PROMO CODE PRO


If you chose to NOT ALWAYS SHOW this add-on, you can show it on command by adding parameters to the URL (the link to your page).


Always grab your link from here, and I'll show you how it works:



So if this is your page link:  https://gpmarketing.clickfunnels.com/optinhkcjs7nn2567


You would need to append the following parameter to your URL:   ?pcon=1


So the link you would send to your customer (directly, via email, maybe a link on a youtube video, etc) would be:


https://gpmarketing.clickfunnels.com/optinhkcjs7nn2567?pcon=1


Go ahead, click the link and you can see the promo input fields will show up.


Please note, setting this parameter will cache the input fields onto YOUR DEVICE.  To turn off the input fields (on YOUR DEVICE) you would need to use a reverse URL parameter of ?pcon=0.



In this state, you can use your PROMO CODE fields to accept a discount.


Automatically Applying Discount Codes


You can also automatically apply a discount code by utilizing the following parameters with your URL:


?pcon=1&promo=YOURCODE


So the URL or link you want your customers to click on might look like this:


https://gpmarketing.clickfunnels.com/optinhkcjs7nn2567?pcon=1&promo=50off


Go ahead, click the link and you can see how it works.

Known Conflicts:


The following add-ons do not work with PROMO CODE PRO:


  • Cart Mode
